The foliage is bright green and is borne in flat sprays that may hang in a nearly vertical configuration, distinguishing it from other "cedars." The bark is brownish, smooth, and developing long, exfoliating strips on older trees. The cones are an inch in length, pale green to yellow, with four scales; two winged seeds develop in the outer pair.
This is a very attractive tree with beautiful foliage and interesting bark. It is drought tolerant and does particularly well in sunny locations.
These trees are three years old and are grown from seed collected in southwestern Oregon. Size: Gallon
