Costoluto genovese is a lobed, irregularly shaped tomato most known for its use in pastes, juice, and for cooking. Also good as a slicing tomato, this Heirloom beefsteak-style cultivar originated in Italy as early as the eighteenth century. It does well in cooler climates, although, as with most tomatoes, probably achieves its best flavor in warm conditions. Maturation is in about 85 days.
An excellent producer, this is a versatile tomato with the added attraction of an unusual shape.
These plants are seed-grown.
