McNab Cypress
is a native of the northern California coastal ranges where it grows on dry hillsides. A smaller tree (and slower-growing) than Monterey Cypress, it has lovely blue-green, scale-like leaves that are pungent when crushed. Pyramidal in shape, trees may reach 35-40 feet in height. The cones are oval and an inch in diameter; they may be produced when trees are 14 years old.
A truly beautiful tree, McNab Cypress likes well-drained soils and is very cold-tolerant.
Grown from seed collected in northern California, these trees are two years old.
