Perennial fuchsias are upright shrubs, distinguished by their beautiful hanging blossoms and a long flowering season. They are undemanding and cold-tolerant, although the plants may have to be cut back in sub-freezing temperatures.

The flowers are pendulant, with four long sepals, four petals, and numerous long stamens. The leaves are serrated, lance-like in shape and can persist during mild winters. Oblong "berries" follow flowering and are quite decorative.

We have two types available, a pale pink form with light green leaves, and the more "classic" purple and magenta type, with dark green leaves. The parent plants are four years old.

These plants are taken from cuttings and are one-year old.
