Evergreen Huckleberry is a slow-growing native shrub with small, shiny, and pointed evergreen leaves; they are serrated and leathery. Although plants may reach a height of five feet or more, more commonly they are smaller shrubs. Tolerant of shade but also adapted to sunny locations, this huckleberry is distinctive for the beautiful, evergreen leaves.

Pink flowers, crowded into short racemes, are bell-shaped and less than a half-inch in length. The berries are black and small. They are edible, however.

Excellent for the small garden and tolerant of a range of conditions, this huckleberry is one of the most beautiful native shrubs.

These plants are grown from cuttings.
